_222_1000_book43coverThe title captured my attention immediately, I was very intrigued to begin reading this book.  The book is titled ‘The Hole in Our Gospel’ and is written by Richard Stearns, the President of World Vision.  But, Richard Stearns did not start off as the president of such an organization, he  was actually a corporate CEO who was convicted and set his once thought of successes aside to discover the full power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Log Cabin Syrup – A Review

logcabin1 Well, you’re probably wondering what is so new and exciting about Log Cabin Syrup..after all they have been around since 1887.

So, I’m going to tell you!  This is not the Log Cabin Syrup that you grew up with.  No, this is something entirely different.  Log Cabin has reformulated it’s syrup line by replacing the High Fructose Corn Syrup with natural sugar.

Of course I did not let my children know that the syrup was changed because they were simply devouring their pancakes drenched in this particular syrup.

Willow – A Review

As a mom to 5 children, I like to stay up to date with all the latest trends that teens are experiencing.  Having 3 teens makes it harder to keep up with it all but I try:)

cover-hoban1So, you can imagine when I was given the opportunity to read the book Willow by  Julia Hoban.  This book describes the topic of ‘cutting’ in full detail.  Have you heard of it??  I was introduced to it briefing by my oldest daughter but after a long talk we determined that it was just a way to get attention.  But this book, definitely showed the meaning in a different way.  This teen was inflicting pain upon herself to cover the deeper pain she was experiencing.  Thankfully she meets another teen that discovers her secret and is determined to stop her from destroying her life.
