We all experience giants in our lives. Some may be in the form of depression, fear, relational, financial woes, disappointment and the list can go on. However, it is how we face such giants that determine our lives and the outcome.
This reminds me of a character in the bible named Caleb. Caleb was a very faithful man, and one that was mainly in the shadows of Joshua, but his faith was one to be admired. His spirit was one of faith but not merely faith it was a courageous faith. As our pastor mentioned during our recent worship service, Caleb had an enduring faith. We too, can have the faith that Caleb had. It merely takes the right focus to have a different spirit as Caleb had. It takes a committed faith where we simply set our eyes upon Jesus and allow Him to take care of our many giants.
The moment that we feel that we as humans can handle any of the giants on our own is the moment we begin to wither. The courage we thought we had to conquer anything and everything is lost and those feelings of despair come creeping back into our lives. We have the choice, a god-given choice. Whenever we take our eyes off of God, we will ultimately lose all perspective. Those words are so true and perhaps you may not understand them at this moment in your life, but the time will come when it will all make sense. It is important to understand that God is able in all things, at all times and it is up to us to allow our spirit and our faith to understand that concept.
I completely understand that there will be times of despair and confusion in your lives. It is during those times that our Lord wants us to look to Him. Being one that turned away or questioned the Lords existence at a very difficult time in my life, I can honestly say that I was a lost sheep and one of little faith. I am so thankful and grateful that God had the patience and unconditional love for me to guide me on the correct path.
How are you facing the giants in your life? You don’t have to face them alone.

Awesome post! The last paragraph of your post really hit home especially the sentence “I am so thankful and grateful that God had the patience and unconditional love for me to guide me on the correct path.”
I don’t like to admit this but I’ve spent probably 75-80% of my walk with the Lord pushing him aside or pulling away from him in the troubling times in my life but I’m so thankful that He has always called me back and welcomed me back with open arms. I’m so thankful for his patience and unconditional love. I’ve recently rededicated my life to the Lord and I’m learning to run to Him in times of need, struggles, etc instead of pulling away like in the past!
