About

Okay, so who is Dr. Mommy exactly, you might be asking?? Well, here goes, hope you are sitting down…

My name is Dr. Daisy and I am the Founder and CEO of Dr. Mommy, LLC.  I am 40-something, married to the love of my life (yes, really) and have 5 beautiful children. I feel my life is very blessed and remind myself of that daily.. Aside from being a mommy, I am also a Doctor of Chiropractic by profession, writer, mentor, business owner, office administrator, teacher (home school my kiddos), chef (for my family of 7), chauffeur,  and too many more to list.

I never thought that I would be a mom, yet a professional mom of 5!! I feel that God has changed my life dramatically and for the best. There was a time that I thought that being a professional was the most important career to have, but soon after having my first that all changed. I wanted to spend more time with my children, but didn’t think it was possible and have a healthy, relationship at the same time. Which is why after much soul searching, I gave up my profession and decided to devote my time to my family.

Now, there are times, that I need to find time for myself which is why I write. I love to write and share my experiences with others, even if they don’t want to hear it:) I love helping others, which is why I mentor many in both parenting issues and with business.  I am helping many gain a presence online and that is very gratifying.

I have found that I truly enjoy writing, so that is what I do these days. I find that I can still be home, delegate responsibilities, home school and still have time to write. I don’t like crowds, so you will never find me at an amusement park, by choice, or a mall. Sad but true, although I love to shop, I can’t seem to concentrate on the task at hand in a mall, so I shop online, A LOT!!

You are invited to listen every week to Family Talk radio show on Blog Talk Radio on Wednesday at 1pm EST. You can listen live to Mom Talk Radio a nationally syndicated radio show where I am a featured expert and for health/wellness tips visit Healthy Tips podcast.

I am having a blast and hope that you will come often to read about the adventures of a Dr. Mommy. And be sure to leave some comments:)

Many Blessings,

Dr. Daisy (aka Dr. Mommy)

Hi, Dr. Daisy! I was just wondering what it is like to homeschool 5 children? How long have you been doing it? and At what age were your children when you decided to start?

Oh yeah! And do you feel that your children are getting a better education than they would get at a public school because, of course, mother knows best!

I am thinking about homeschooling my 3 year old. Well, I’m already teaching him lots now! Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, English, Alphabet, how to read a clock etc. So I may as well continue the trend, right? It’s just that I’m wondering what it would really be like because, I am Christina Nicole Smith, IN ADDITION TO being a mother, so realistically…give it to me straight. What should I expect?

I love you for this blog girlfriend! Hit me back!

Chris

Hi Daisy!

I’ve come to know you only recently from your posts at Organized Life by Design and on Twitter. I’m so happy for venues like these as I end up meeting so many like minded moms like you!

I relate to the career/passion for mothering and being home/creativity balance that seems to be part of your life as it is mine.

I think what you’re doing is great and how wonderful to know that you are making a direct impact on the education and development of your children through homeschooling.

God’s blessings to you!

Sharon

Good Morning, Dr. Daisy!
I am so glad I found your site. I relate to your desire to put your family first and to write and be creative. My husband says I am a writer, but I am afraid to take risks. I am thinking about creating a website and blog, but wonder if anyone will care about reading what I write. Thank you for all you are giving!

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful web-site with us! We all have a purpose , don’t we? I am single, a bible-college student, I work in women’s ministry, and presently with God’s leading am building our ( The lord and me ;) )business together, Visionaries….

I don’t just want to prosper, but to make a difference in all those who enter into the business with me. God will add the increase.

Thanks again for your kind words, heart and for being a wonderful mother to your children. It is the Greatest job in the world..

In His Care,
Colleen Geary
