What Are You Thankful For?

Since Thanksgiving is next week, I want to share what I am thankful for.  I am very thankful for everything and everyone in my life.  There are times that are more difficult than others but of course I have realized that is just part of life.

I am very thankful for the man in my life.  He is a patient, loving, intelligent and a very funny man.  Most importantly he loves me and loves me for who I am.  There are times that I am not a very nice person for one reason or another but he looks beyond that and loves me no matter what I may be experiencing.  He is also a faithful man and one who believes in Our Lord which is so important.  Most importantly he is the father of our children.  He is a wonderful father and one that listens intently to our children and also a great teacher and mentor.

I am thankful for all my children.  I am thankful that Our Lord has blessed me with the ability to be a mom and have a large family.  Now, our moments are not always peaches and cream but I realize that it is all part of the package of being a mom and having a family.  I love my children with all my heart and soul and they are very much aware of that.  I never neglect their feelings or forget to show my love for them.  They actually beg me to stop kissing and loving on them.  But, my response is that I love them and that one day they will have children and that they will want to love on them as well.

I am thankful for the gifts that I have been given.  I am thankful for the opportunity to write and share my life, feelings and knowledge with all of my friends.  I have made more ‘online’ friends than ever before and actually consider them part of my family.  I don’t have an immediate family other than my In-Laws so having online friends has been a true blessing to me.

I am thankful that we have the opportunity to help the community.  My hubby has a wonderful Chiropractic business and we have many patients that we also consider part of the family.  It is wonderful to have a business that you love and have people that love you for making them feel better both mentally and physically.

I am thankful for the country that I live in and the freedoms that we are given.  I am thankful for the leaders that came before us that worked diligently and died for us to have the freedoms that we have.

So, now it’s your turn.  What or who are you thankful for?  I would love to read your comments.  Be sure to add them below. I am truly thankful for all my readers and for all your wonderful comments.

Dr. Mommy, it’s a wonderful opportunity to participate in soul enriching activity.

Firstly, I’m so thankful for God’s Compassion, Love, Savior and Spirit, I lost my mother in Jan. 2007 and it’s been a big challenge to overcome, but I’m thankful she’s back to perfect health and happy watching over her family.

I’m thankful for my beautiful daughter and although I miss the void of my mother’s love, God has placed a wonderful man in my life to help with the void.

I am happy to have the family and friends and their support for my daughter and I. I love my online friends/family/mentors.

I’m extremely grateful for my gifts, talents, compassion, health, wealth, tears/joy and for my life and for YOU.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m thankful for all the blessings I’ve received in my life! For those that have come recently in the form of “aha” moments! – the wake up calls that I needed to move forward; connections – new and current on Twitter and other opportunities; belief in myself – needs no additional explanation; health – every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better! Home – I’m enjoying our home that we have together; the space it gives us; husband – he loves me more than I could have ever imagined, and I love him more and more all the time! Our pets, who bring me joy all the time; friends, new and old, I wouldn’t be where I am with out them; my computer – so that I can share the message.

2008 was a year of unexptected happenings, but those happenings were gifts in disguise and I’m grateful for all those gifts!

Thank you for your thoughts. It is good to have a time to reflect and to just be greatful.
When you have your thanksgiving my homeschool learner, her family and I will be having our first end of the year homeschool prizegiving. We are in South Africa and the schools close 5 December for summer vacation. I am so thankful for the way God has blessed me and Tammy(not my own child). We have had a fantastic year! All praise to God for bringing us together! He lets everything happen according to His perfect will. Tammy will make a speech and a puppet nativity play. Please pray for her! She is mentally challenged, but has such a determination to succeed! Thank you also for all the virtual friends and support.
I am also thankful for my two grandchildren! A little more than a year both my daughters were struggling to get pregnant and today both are mothers of the cutest babies in the world!

  5. Cindy says:

I’m thankful for a happy, healthy 2 year old daughter. Before she was born, the doctors were concerned that she had chromosomal abnormalities, heart problems, and other issues. Praise God she is perfectly healthy, incredibly smart, and has a heart of gold.

  6. Jess Sanders says:

I am thankful that I am married to a great guy. We have certainly had our share of challenge, but in the end he means well, tries hard, is committed and devoted, and dammit if after 7 years together he still doesn’t think I’m sexy with no makeup on! In the daily grind I don’t always remember, but I should, how lucky I am.

  7. Silvia says:

I’m thankful that I AM and for every day I CAN BE… with and around people I like and people whose lives I can touch. I’m thankful for having eyes that can see, ears that can hear and hands that can touch… but most of all I’m thankful for being divinely created to God’s image. I can’t wait to spend unlimited lifetimes with HIM… ;-) ))

  8. I am grateful for a healthy baby boy. I am so proud to be the mother of, now 3, beautiful children and the wife of a supporting and loving Christian husband. God is so faithful.

Dr. Mommy, you are also an inspiration to me as I follow your life on Twitter. I admire you and look up to you. May God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving.
