Playing Catch-Up

My Chronicles, Organization — By Dr. Mommy on January 28, 2010 at 9:25 am

I can’t believe that it’s almost February and I’m playing catch-up. Do you ever have those feelings?  With me, it came about because I felt a bit under the weather.  I ignored the symptoms, {yes, I know..bad doctor} and kept moving on.  I mean, really what’s a mom to do?  Well, apparently my body needed the rest {yes, another sign I ignored} and I was in bed for 2 days.  You know that feeling, when you have to get stuff done, but you can’t find the energy?  I hate to admit it, but that’s how I felt.

My children were at a loss, because quite simply – Mom’s are not allowed to get sick!  So of course in between the naps, I had little fingers poking at me.  ’Mommy are you awake?’ — ‘Ummm, I am now?’ Yes, that was the conversation those 2 days.  I am however, truly blessed with an understanding husband, {ahem} that put up with my crankiness {or so he says}.  He helped with the house work and the cooking, yes, he did! I am lucky and very loved!

So, now I am playing catch-up. Yes, but I am accomplishing it, slowly but surely.  I am here to tell you that it is possible if you pace yourself.  Thankfully, I am a Type-A personality and have a schedule of all my commitments laid out for each month, and I was working on some projects well in advance. Whew!

I will be back on this site, writing regularly and sharing some interesting products I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing.  I don’t perform many reviews and I’m really picky, so will only review items that I feel will help moms and families. Many of my sites have undergone face lifts and the next one on the list is my health site.  So, watch out for the upcoming news of when it’s complete.  I’ve also branched out on my own with my radio show.  I was with a network in the past which is fabulous but it was time for me to leave the nest and move on, which I did.  Come by and listen.  If you are unable to listen live, the recordings are always available.  My show is on Blog Talk Radio and its called Family Talk.

So, please listen to your body, don’t avoid the signals.  Eat appropriately, and get enough sleep, so you won’t be playing catch-up like me.
