Saying Good-Bye to 2009
My Chronicles — By Dr. Mommy on December 30, 2009 at 8:20 pmIt is amazing to think that 2009 will be gone in merely 2 days! Although many are ready to put 2009 away in their filing system, I want to be thankful for all that has occurred in 2009.
This year was a wonderful year for me with many friendships and partnerships made. As well as many wonderful happenings in our family.
Below is a recap of my year:
- Enjoyed watching my youngest play baseball for the first time
- Watched my oldest son develop into a wonderful, faithful young man
- Cheered on my youngest daughter during a fabulous competitive cheer program
- Shed a tear at my second daughter’s first piano recital
- Shed many tears of joy and pride at my oldest daughter’s graduation ( our first home school graduate)
- Watched in awe at the growth of my company, Dr. Mommy, LLC
- Met some wonderful women at a Disney Mom Bloggers event as well the Type A mom conference
- Made long lasting friendships and ones that will remain close and dear to my heart
- Was challenged to be the ‘Rock’ for a dear friend/sister
- Lost our dear puppy but gained a new one to replace the hurt, even if only temporary
- My podcast – Dr. Mommy Health Tips Podcast was born
- My Family Talk Radio Show on Blog Talk Radio was born
- My faith was renewed and strengthen each and every day of the year
- Going Retro was born and instilled every day in our family and used to help other families
As you can tell, my life was full of joys and sorrows but most importantly it was full of memories that I will cherish forever.
Am I sad to see 2009 end? Yes But am I excited to see what 2010 will bring? Absolutely!!!
I am truly blessed each and every day with a loving husband, 5 beautiful children, offline friends, online friends and friends that will always be a part of my family. The bonds that were made this year are definitely unbreakable and for that I am truly thankful.
How about you? Are you ready for 2010?
