You’re probably wondering….

So, you’re probably wondering why I haven’t shared any recent stories with you. Well, the truth is I’ve been very busy, no not just a little busy but very busy.

Ever since I came back from Type A Mom Conference, I’ve been debating what I should do.

The conference was wonderful and it was great to meet some of the women that I interact with online, in person. I enjoyed their company immensely and also had the opportunity to make some other wonderful friendships.

I realized however, that although I am a mom, and love being a mom, that I would not classify myself as a ‘mommy blogger’. I love all those women who are in that category and applaud them for what they do, but I don’t fit in.

What I did recognize is that I am a professional and as such have a mission, which is to help others. More importantly my mission is to help you to help your family. But, what exactly does that mean?

Well, I love helping people in any and all arenas, I have had the pleasure of helping many especially women. I have helped them in their parenting dilemmas, with their health concerns, nutrition concerns and building a presence online for the very first time. I love learning, researching, writing and editing. But most importantly I love motivating others.

I have determined what my passion is and feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. At times I felt like a hamster on an exercise wheel, just going and going and not really getting anywhere. You know that feeling?

I will continue to write on this site, because I am able to share my feelings here, share yummy meal ideas, my homeschooling adventures and even some reviews.

I am even giving my site a face lift. Yes, it will look completely different but in a good way. I invite you all to participate. I want to build a community. I have another site called Retro Parenting where I would love moms and dads alike to get involved. I hope to add a forum there very soon.

Many changes have occurred since taking a break from all the extra-curricular activities that kept our family running in 20 different directions. We have become a stronger and loving family. The stress has lessened and my family supports my online work. That is a major change. Before, they just thought mommy loved to type on the computer and nothing else.

They all now see the difference that Mommy is making with her company, Dr. Mommy, LLC and nothing could please me more. It actually makes me cry, but in a good way…

Soooo, now that I have babbled on and on….I want you to know that I will be writing more here, spilling my heart a little more…and just enjoying this site, because it is a wonderful way to connect with my friends…yes, that’s you!
