Faith, Love and Trust
Faithful Chronicles — By Dr. Mommy on July 5, 2009 at 3:56 pm
What Pastor Mark (our Youth Pastor) said today was something that definitely struck a cord in me. He said, ‘God is not into coincidences’. Those were amazing words for me, because I often wonder how things happen in my life. I often wonder if things happen out of coincidence, but Pastor Mark reminded me that there are NO coincidences.
What happens and has happened in my life has all been a part of God’s plan. Whether I liked the outcome or not, all has happened and continues to happen according to His plan. This is something I can write about and speak about today, because I truly love and trust in the Lord. Some time ago, I’m not sure, I would be able to share or accept my past, my present, and much less my future.
My faith has shown me that all happens according to His plan. Sure, we may have plans and goals of our own, but if they do not coincide with God’s plan they will not happen, and if they do, the outcome is usually not a great one.
We were asked a question today – Do we love God enough to Trust Him?
Wow, that is a very strong question and as sinners we may try to dissect the question in order to truthfully answer it. But quite simply the answer is by our obedience we show our love and our trust. We may encounter times in our days and in our lives that will make it difficult to trust in our Lord, but notice how those days seem much harder than they should be.
I have noticed since I have accepted the Lord into my life, that my decisions have become a bit easier. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am human and therefore a sinner so some and many of my decisions have not been the best and I know that now. Many times we will not see the truth until we have suffered or have made a wrong decision. We are, after all children in God’s eyes and just as our children disobey, so do we. Just as our children ask us for forgiveness we must ask our Heavenly Father for forgiveness.
So, I leave you with the question that was asked of me this morning — Do you love God enough to Trust Him?
When you come across a situation that you do not know the answer, trust in Him that He will guide you in the right direction. Stop and listen. In this crazy world, we are always rushing, but by simply stopping, and listening..you will find the answer that our Lord has provided for you.
Have Faith and Love but most importantly Trust in our Lord.

I’ve been thinking about this lately, and I think it’s one of those things that most people ought to be expounding on. We can’t expect to get anywhere if we just keep our brains buried in the ground.
