Family Moments – Discipline in Private
Family Moments — By Dr. Mommy on June 8, 2009 at 3:09 pm
I remember growing up and my parents correcting my sister and I every opportunity they had. It was quite embarrassing and not something I want to impose on my children.
We must remember although it is necessary to discipline our children, correction should always been handled in private. I am sure the last thing you want to do is humiliate your child at the grocery store or worse yet in school in front of their friends or any public place for that matter.
What you can do is pull your child aside and make them aware that this situation will be handled at home and most important follow through with it.
There are times that we will be upset with our children, but we must remember to honor and respect them by disciplining in private.
