I must say that when I was first contacted by Creations by Design about  My Bible Cards I was a bit curious.  Having several children, I am quite aware of the trading cards and how much fun they can be.  My oldest son was a Pokeman fanatic and loved collecting them.  Geez, I remember collecting baseball cards and trading them with my friends! Yes, girls like trading cards too.

So, as I mentioned I was very interested in reviewing the My Bible Cards trading cards as well as my children.  We always study bible verses and it can get quite cumbersome, but these cards were perfect.

Pros on the cards:

  • Beautiful photographs – the artwork is amazing!
  • Quality – impeccable, the cardstock was high grade, not flimsy
  • Information – the information contained on the back of the cards was very thorough
  • Can use these cards to teach History, Literature, Art and Science
  • Excellent for storytelling
  • Memorable artwork

Cons on the cards:

  • Not many cons at all, except for the fact that these cards seem to made for older children
  • My teen enjoyed the cards, but my younger child didn’t quite understand
  • The print on the back of the cards were a bit small, making it hard to read

Suggestions:

I would love to see cards for younger children.  The photos were captivating and very easy to associate with the Bible

stories, but perhaps adding larger print or shorter captions for younger children to understand.  As I mentioned above all my children loved the cards and I was very impressed by the quality and work put into the cards.

Older children will be able to play with them on their own, but younger children will definitely need the interaction of an adult or older siblings.  The cards are fantastic and a great way to teach your children the stories and lessons within the Bible. A wonderful way to learn more about the Bible, Art, Literature, History and Science all in one card.  Amazing!!

Besides having the opportunity to review these beautiful cards, I am also able to giveaway 2 packets to 3 winners.  Yes, 3 winners will get to enjoy 2 packets of trading Bible Cards for their children to enjoy.

These would make wonderful little rewards for home and parochial schools. I remember as a young child studying the pictures in the bible, shame but most bibles no longer have pictures and those that do are only line drawings.

This sounds like a great unique way to learn bible verses. I am trying to work with my kids to get more under their belt and I do not want to pound it into them. Learning the verses should be fun and rewarding.
Thank you for letting us know about this.

  • These look wonderful! I have a trading card fanatic in my house, so I’m eager to see what he thinks of them.

Wow… these look fantastic! As a father of six children aged 5 – 12 these cards would be well used and enjoyed. My older children have enjoyed collecting pokemon and sports cards… these would be a definitive positive and appear to contain both artwork and info that would hold their interest. Great product & great review! Thanks for sharing! Peace.

I have really struggled implementing Bible study with my kids. We’ve been something visual. These look great. Thanks for sharing the review!

  • Getting Andrew more involved in learning about the Bible and God is at the top of my list right now. He loves this type of thing and would be a perfect way of getting him studying more.

I have tried to make some of these myself but since I am certainly no artist, they are really more like flash cards. And as helpful as flascards are, they have the feel of more school study time. Since they study so much already, my cards arent’ any fun. They do so enjoy story hour and I still find it amazing how much the little ones learn from the older ones. I will definitely look into these trading cards! What a fantastic idea!

Sounds interesting. My boys have just started learning memory verses (they’re 3 and 4), and they love stories. I think we could definitely put cards like these to good use!

  • These sound fabulous. My oldest is five, but I think we would share these with the Jr. High kids at church if we win. So glad to have found you via twitter.
