Oral-B Triumph Toothbrush – A Review
Reviews / Giveaways — By Dr. Mommy on January 12, 2009 at 9:18 amI had the pleasure of reviewing the Oral B Triumph Toothbrush with Smart Guide
and want to first say that I was very impressed. Before I sing it’s praises let me tell you a bit about this toothbrush.
Oral B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart Guide
This technologically advanced toothbrush provides extraordinary cleaning and boasts that it will improve your brushing habits.
It improves gum health, helps to prevent and reverse gingivitis, ultimate plaque removal, claims that it will deliver teeth whitening power and polishing in 21 days, when compared to their other electric toothbrushes.
Guarantees better check-ups or your money back and helps you brush for 2 minutes. Yes, you read correctly 2 minutes! I was ready to put this toothbrush to the test!
First of all, I was very impressed with the design of the toothbrush and the weight. This toothbrush has a battery gauge in the front that will let you know when the battery is low and will need charging. The battery last about 2 weeks, unless you have 2 people using it, which will then last about 1.5 weeks.
The design is very classy and it has a rubber grip to prevent slipping. It also had a case in the rear portion of the stand where you can store the different heads for the toothbrush. This brush came with the Oral-B Floss Action and the Oral-B White toothbrush heads.
There are several other toothbrush heads you can purchase as well. My husband has removable implants and was able to use the Oral-B Sensitive head that we purchased separately. He was very impressed and liked the fact that he could use an electric toothbrush without it causing pain.
The toothbrush comes with a travel case, base station with brush head storage and protective cover and one rechargeable battery.
The best part was the wireless display. It has a digital clock and the coolest part was that you can program it for 2 minutes and it will keep track for you. As you brush the display will show the different quadrants along with a 30 second timer for each. It also has a sensor that will light up if you brush too hard. Once the 2 minutes is up, the brush will buzz twice and a cute little smiley face will appear on the display.
I, for one do not like to go to dentists, I guess I had a bad experience when younger. But, I must confess that after using this brush, I did go see our family dentist. After he got over the shock of seeing me in his office, he checked my teeth. And guess what!!!??? I did not have any cavities and most importantly no plaque build up!! Guess the toothbrush works after all!
The Pros:
- sleek design
- battery remains charged for 2 weeks
- different toothbrush heads to choose from
- wireless display
- love the fact that it came with a travel case
- cost effective, compared to other electric toothbrushes, this was not as expensive
Cons:
- Not many …my hubby claims it was a bit loud, but aren’t all electric toothbrushes?
- the cost of the replacement heads were a bit expensive, but they did have 3 in the case, so not too bad
All in all, I was very impressed with this toothbrush and am very glad I had the opportunity to review it. You can try one too and get a $15 mail-in rebate when you visit Oral-B.
Thanks Oral-B for a great toothbrush!!

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the braun electric toothbrush
