Reviews / Giveaways — By Dr. Mommy on October 14, 2008 at 2:03 pm

Being conscious of the environment is one thing, but how about taking care of your body and better yet your baby’s skin? Just as we are aware of taking care of the environment we must take responsibility and take care of our bodies as well. We must take care of the inside and outside of our bodies. I was honored to try these wonderful products first hand and I was very impressed.

Lafe’s Natural and Organic Products are truly all natural. Many products on the market claim to be organic and natural but not many are. Lafe’s has taken great pride in his products that are certified organic and proudly displays the prestigious USDA green seal. Lafe’s company has also signed the Safe Cosmetics Pact agreeing not use harmful or carcinogen ingredients in any of their products. These products are free of parabens, glycol, PEG’s, and sodium laureth. There baby products also have very high quality baby-safe packaging.

Lafe’s Organic Mother-To-Be Deodorant contains Aloe Vera and is also contains purified water, and mineral salts. It has a wonderful light smell, that is definitely not over powering but gives the mom-to-be or any mom the protection for 24-hours. They are careful with all their products because what goes on the body also goes into the body.

Lafe’s Organic Baby Oil contains sunflower seed oil, olea (olive) oil, and hemp seed oil. It has a light fragrance and safe to use to massage your baby’s skin. A wonderful way to help relax your baby without the worries or harmful chemicals.

Lafe’s Organic Foaming Shampoo and Wash leaves baby’s skin soft and refreshed. It comes in a unique and baby-safe pump container. It is wonderful smelling and conveniently can be used as both shampoo and body wash for your baby. Never fumble with several products, have two products in one and the confidence that it is safe for your baby as well.

Lafe’s Organic Baby Insect Repellent is made with certified organic botanical oils to repel the pesky insects from your baby. It comes in a baby-safe container with spray and is applied onto the skin every 2-3 hours or as needed. This repellent protects the baby’s skin from insects without the harmful chemicals.

Lafe’s Natural Body Care is kind enough to offer 3 of my readers the above mentioned products. However, you must visit their site and tell me when Lafe Larson began his journey with organic products. Be sure to leave your name, email address and answer in the comment section. I will pick 3 people to enjoy these products. You do not have to have a baby to enjoy these products, these are perfect for you as the mother and your children of any age.

A special thanks to Lafe’s Products for allowing me to review these wonderful products.

Lafe started his journey toward organic products at a very young age when his mother contracted rheumatic fever. She was also a big reader of Prevention magazine and got her family started on natural foods. I’d love to use more organic products for my family, too!

  • I’m trying to do this organic thing and this would be great….

It began when Lafe’s mother was stricken with rheumatic fever. With her health at stake, she adapted the family’s lifestyle to include natural and organic foods from the land. She instilled in Lafe an inherent desire to avoid chemicals and make healthy choices based this simple adage: “if you can’t pronounce it, avoid it.”

Love the photo on the homepage….:)

My daughter and I are very concerned about the additives and chemicals in skin care products, especially for children. I was happy to read this blog post and and learn more about Lafe Larson. I was particularly interested in reading the story about how in 1992 he started Discount Deoderant Stones with a $15,000 faily loan. I am also glad that his manufacutring business, which he began in 1997 is exclusively based in America.

I am most interested in the deoderant stones and espeically, the insect repellent.

thanks for leading me to this site!
