Thankful Thursday
Faithful Chronicles, My Chronicles — By Dr. Mommy on September 4, 2008 at 12:14 pm
I am thankful for my life. Even though I had a rough upbringing, I am thankful for the opportunity to use those experiences as lessons to be learned. I understand that many may have had it worse, but I am not trying to compare, so I will just say, I am now thankful for all my experiences for I will always remember them and continue to learn from them. I have learned not to question the Lord and although I did it plenty while growing up, I have learned that everything He does is done with a purpose in mind.
I am thankful for my loving husband. He is the most caring individual I have ever met and am so thankful that my Father put him in my life. He is kind and considerate and always puts his family before himself. He is hard working and has managed to support our family both emotionally and financially for many years and I am very thankful for that. He is a wonderful father to our children and has managed to rearrange his schedule to help home school them as well. I am thankful to have him in my life and I love him with all my heart and soul.
I am thankful for my 5 beautiful children. Each one different, unique, special and all gifts from God. Wow, anyone who knew me 18 years ago would have never imagined I would have 5 children later. I love my children with every part of my soul and being. They are wonderful and I learn from them on a daily basis. Although they are not ‘perfect’ little angels, none of us are perfect but in my eyes they are perfect, special, unique, loving and truly gifts from up above.
I am thankful for the opportunity to home school my children. Because of my faith and fortitude, this is possible. Every day is a learning experience and quite entertaining. It’s not easy dealing with teens, tweens, and pre-schoolers all at the same time; but fun nonetheless. I love to watch them interact with each other and with family and friends. I enjoy listening to their stories, even though some of them are never ending. *wink* I watch their accomplishments with pride and listen to their words when their feelings have been hurt. I am their mother, teacher, coach, counselor, and utmost cheerleader. I will always be here for them through the good times and the bad times. But most importantly I let them know that I love them and will always be here for them.
I am thankful for all the friends and online friends I have made in my life. Each one holds a special place in my heart. I love having people that I can talk to and cry with, and that’s what friends are for.
I am thankful for all the gifts the Lord has given me. I love to write and am thankful that I now have the opportunity to do just that, write. I find it very fulfilling and a way to express myself. I enjoy sharing my feelings with words and teaching others as well. I am grateful that I have been given this opportunity and many others to share my writing and hope that I am able to share my words with many others.
Thank you… What are you thankful for??
