Thankful Thursday
Faithful Chronicles, My Chronicles — By Dr. Mommy on September 25, 2008 at 1:47 pm
The main reason for me not updating my blog is because of my time of reflection. Yes, reflection time again!
With today’s economy not doing very well, I have been thinking and praying about what exactly God wants me to do. What is my role in this life He has given me? And, have I been living my life to glorify Him?
I have realized the many gifts He has given me and need to put them to use. I love to write and have been incorporating more of my writing into my daily tasks. But, most importantly I love to teach. That is why I chose the profession that I did. I became a Doctor because of the service aspect, but mostly because of the teaching part. I love teaching individuals and seeing the light in their eyes when they understand what I explain to them.
I have taken my teaching a step further. I home school my children and that is one on my biggest passions. I have decided to extend it out to other families and help teach them how to home school. Especially those who think that it is difficult or that it is time consuming. My passion is to spread the wonderful word of homeschooling and make them aware that we as parents are the ultimate teachers and the time spent with our children is so precious. Even though you don’t home school, you are still teaching your children and can definitely benefit from the many tips I offer. Please be sure to visit my site dedicated to my passion to read more.
My other passion is health and wellness and have a site dedicated to just that. I share health and nutrition tips and so much more. I have found a way to share my knowledge learned from my many years of study. Because I love to research, I enjoy sharing the latest health information with my readers. I have many more plans for my site and informational material I will be offering, so please be sure to visit that site as well.
As you can see, I have been reflecting on my life and redirecting my focus. My main focus is the Lord and I follow His lead; with Him anything is possible. My next focus is my family and then my life and how I can help others. Thanks for allowing me to share this with you and for visiting my site.
The Chronicles continue….

I am so with you Daisy, I feel the same struggle I strive daily to try and stay centered and focused.
I need so much help with this. I have such great intentions. I would say I do a better than average job but I want to do more.
I have bookmarked your homeschool site. I won’t be homeschooling (can’t talk Hubby into it) but I want to supplement their education at home. I love the things that I learn from homeschooling mothers!
Well you know I am in your corner my sister! I can’t wait to see the results of what God is doing with you.
Thank you so much for all the teaching and guidance, especially on the homeschool topic. I really need the help as I’ll be homeschooling my children for the first time within the next year or two.
I also want to take the time to say Thank you for helping readers of my blog at They Call Me Wahmmy with this topic as well.
God has chosen you and I think it’s wonderful that you took the time to make sure that you’re still following Him and doing what you were meant to do.
btw…You’ve been tagged!
That is awesome! Just last week, the Holy Spirit was really moving me to focus on what my “mission” truly is. I did a blog called “What’s your Mission?” I just needed to refocus on Truth, and make sure I was doing what my Savior wanted me to be doing for His glory.
Your post is awesome. I too would love to encourage people who don’t understand that they CAN homeschool. I have two girls, one is in college now and the other is in 9th grade I have homeschooled for eight years. It is sad to me that some parents get extremely intimidated about the high school years and they put their kids in school. It is as hard on them and as of yet, I haven’t seen it work for the best. I do know that all things work together for good, so I just pray for these kids.
Also, I have several diseases that have keep me down for about 8 years now. God has been gracious and I can walk now and use my hands most days. I am on a tremendous amount of meds. I would like to try some alternative medicine, but I can’t find a doctor that will touch my case. If you want a research project, my case is available. Just let me know.
Enjoy the holidays!
