To my surprise, I was tagged again. This time by Alyssa at Life from My Laptop. This meme is about Motherhood Lessons.

What to do: share with us and your readers a lesson that you learned from your own mom, a special mom in your life, or while raising your own children. There’s no right or wrong answers…just lessons that each of us can learn and implement with our own children.

My lesson is: Patience

This is actually a life-long lesson I learned from my mom. Although she is no longer with me and only got to see my oldest when she was 2 and my second when he was 2 months old, I still remember her words.

She said, ‘whenever you think you can’t make it through the day, rely on the Lord and have patience’. I didn’t quite understand what she meant at first.

But, now that I have 5 children, those words ring true. Patience is definitely needed and I have learned to let go. Learn to pick your battles and let the nonsense go to the waist side. It is not worth getting angry or upset, children will be children and if we are patient they will learn from us.

Teach your children the meaning of patience. This is definitely a life long lesson.
