I had an interesting weekend with my hubby. We were able to get away alone for the first time in many, many years and we are so thankful. Although it was not all pleasure it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Aside from the many projects I am involved with we promote some healthy products in our office that we wanted to share with others in our profession. It was interesting to see the reactions when promoting our product because we have been indoctrinated to believe that ‘chocolate‘ although quite delicious it is also unhealthy. However, this particular product is healthy and research has been done to prove it.

Being a Chiropractor by profession, I am always interested in healthy products and those that will enrich my life as well as my family’s life. I met many people who believe the same and that was exciting. I also came across many skeptical people and people who were actually quite rude, but by God’s grace I was able to maintain my coolness at times.

That is not an easy task to accomplish and it takes someone with conviction and with will power to withstand the negativity of individuals. Many of those individuals are unhappy and do not enjoy seeing others happy so they try to attack you with negative words and gestures. Being faithful makes it easy to identify those people and their intentions, yet it still makes it difficult to stand up to them. Thankfully my husband and I are very faithful and together we made a strong team and were able to withstand the negativity when it approached.

I love teaching and that is why I home school my children but I am always teaching and not only my children. As a doctor, I am always teaching patients and individuals in general as well as learning from them. Everyone has something to teach if they just open up to people. I am a very social person but don’t like encountering people who claim to know everything or have an air of arrogance. I was taught there was and is only one supreme being and He is all knowing and when we have an air of arrogance towards others that we are actually committing a major sin.

Never the less, I enjoyed my weekend away with my husband. My children missed me as I missed them and it was a great lesson for them as well. They appreciate their mommy and daddy much more than before. Let’s see if they will do their chores without asking. Hey a girl can dream, right?

The Chronicles continue….
